Risk Disclosure

Last updated: 2026

Trading involves risk and you can lose money. Market prices and probabilities are not guarantees of future outcomes. Review each market's rules and Kalshi's applicable terms before trading.

Trading involves risk

Prediction market contracts are financial instruments whose value can move for or against your position. Contract prices reflect the collective view of traders at a given moment and can change as new information becomes available. A price movement in your favor is not certain, and it is possible to lose the amount you put at risk on a trade.

Regulation does not eliminate risk

Kalshi is regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and operates as a Designated Contract Market. Regulatory oversight relates to how the exchange and its markets operate — it does not make trading risk-free, and it does not guarantee any trading outcome.

Do your own research

Before trading any market, review its specific rules, settlement source, and resolution criteria on Kalshi’s platform. This website provides general educational information only and does not provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
